Description
STC Ultra Layer® Infrared Pass Filter (760nm)
The STC IR PASS infrared pass-through filter (760nm) is a high-end filter designed specifically for infrared photography. Its main function is to block visible light with wavelengths below 760nm, allowing only infrared light to enter the sensor. 760nm falls in the transition band between "half-color infrared" and "full infrared." Compared to 590nm or 720nm, it filters out more visible light, resulting in a deeper image style, a more uniform color tone, and often a strong high-contrast effect in post-processing. It uses 1.1mm Japanese infrared-absorbing glass, providing lower color cast and better image quality compared to general coated filters. It features double-sided nano-multilayer coating, providing high hydrophobicity, oil resistance, and anti-static properties, making it easy to clean and less prone to dust accumulation. The lens accelerates heat absorption and dissipation regulation, helping to quickly defog even under large temperature differences. It uses a 5mm ultra-thin CNC aluminum alloy ring (6061 material), which can effectively reduce the vignetting produced by wide-angle lenses, and is treated with Teflon to prevent jamming and facilitate disassembly.
Features:
● Utilizing 1.1mm absorptive Japanese infrared-passing glass, three infrared filters are available: 720nm, 760nm, and 850nm, achieving optimal image quality with low color cast.
● A 5mm ultra-thin shock-absorbing aluminum ring reduces vignetting on wide-angle lenses.
● Double-sided nano-anti-smudge coating prevents moisture ingress and mold growth, providing superior water and oil resistance.
● A special antistatic coating prevents static electricity from attracting dust, lint, and microfibers, making cleaning and maintenance easier and resulting in brighter, clearer lenses.
● The aluminum ring surface features a non-stick Teflon coating and an anti-reflective black matte finish for a non-slip, easy-to-remove design.
● A specially designed front thread allows for the attachment of original lens caps.
