Description
SmallRig 6031 "Rhinoceros" Advanced Cage Kit ( For Sony A7 V / A7R V / A7 IV ) is expertly designed to reduce strain and enhance stability during handheld shooting while offering extensive expansion options. The kit includes a "Rhinoceros" cage, a "Rhinoceros" top handle, a "Rhinoceros" side handle, and a clamp for HDMI cable. Constructed from carbon fiber, the cage and handles are exceptionally lightweight and portable—ideal for prolonged handheld use.
The cage features a three-point locking system, which includes a bottom locating pin, a 1/4"-20 screw, and an M2.5 screw on the left side, ensuring secure mounting without deflection. Its sleek, streamlined design guarantees unobstructed access to all top-panel camera controls for seamless operation. The top handle provides a comfortable grip, facilitating easy transport, low-angle maneuvering, and fluid camera movement. The side handle combines a carbon fiber frame with a tactile leather coating, ensuring a lightweight, comfortable, and stable dual-handheld operation.
With multiple mounting points—including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, cold shoe mounts, a NATO rail, and a QD socket—the cage allows for easy attachment of handles, microphones (compatible with DJI Mic 2), lights, monitors, and other accessories. The integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate at the bottom allows for seamless transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups (compatible with Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 Mini / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 Mini / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals). Additionally, a hinged door at the battery compartment adds grip support for the little finger, while the included clamp for HDMI cable secures the cable for stable data transmission.
Note:
● Before installing the clamp for HDMI cable, open the camera’s HDMI port cover.
● The clamp for HDMI cable interferes with the interface of the synchronous terminal when used on the Sony Alpha 7R V camera.
