Auray BP-28CN 2.3m Carbon Fiber Telescopic Boom Pole - 5 Section

The Auray BP Series Carbon Fiber boom poles are lightweight and durable solutions for placing a microphone close to the subject while remaining out of the picture frame. Ideal for electronic news gathering (ENG), electronic field production (EFP), and documentary and field recording, there’s a BP-series boom pole that will save time and effort while it reduces handling fatigue.

Auray BP-series poles are manufactured with lightweight carbon fiber, ensuring portability and reliability. Ergonomic twist locks along with anti-twist alignment make length adjustment effortless, and you’re assured of flawless telescoping even in challenging conditions or environments. To ensure a cable or connector malfunction won’t delay or jeopardize your shoot, the boom pole is built with a custom removable tip and drop-through design that allows for quick coiled XLR cable replacement on any of the cable-equipped BP boom poles.

Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction

Lightweight carbon fiber construction keeps the weight of your gear to a minimum when you’re trekking to a location. Carbon fiber assures durability that can tolerate demanding travel and location shoots in all kinds of weather.

Arrowhead Tip

BP Series boom poles feature the unique Arrowhead tip that’s designed to reduce weight at the top of the pole. It also allows easy drop-through cable insertion for quick and uncomplicated cable replacement. Thanks to the solderless design, you won’t need special tools to replace the XLR cable with the cable replacement kit (sold separately).

Smooth Telescoping

The ergonomic twist locks are covered with rubber grips that are easy on your hands, comfortable to grip, and make length adjustment smooth and effortless. Improved shims assure a firm and secure hold until you loosen the locks.

Anti-Twist Alignment Tubing

Quick length adjustment when you’re shooting on the go is crucial to capturing the best sound. With anti-twist design, adjacent tubes won’t twist when you’re expanding or retracting the boom pole. This allows for one-handed twist lock operation and makes setup and length adjustment easy.

Standard 3/8-16 Threaded Mount
To ensure compatibility with the best mics and shock mounts, the pole is outfitted with a standard 3/8-16 threaded mount that fits most shotgun microphone shock mounts.
